Located south of DuPont this hotel was newly redone in 2013. The Lobby is large with men waiting to take your bags as you walk in. The rooms themselves are dark and intimate, beautifully done. They do run on the small side and the views are not all too impressive, just of the surrounding city area, though it is a nice and convenient area to stay. Everything is updated and very classy. The Madison by Loew's. Just look at that bed! I'm glad I toured about for 8 hours on Day 1 because I fear I will never get out of t h a t b e d!!! The bathroom is absolute heaven, and one of my favorite brands for shower products in stock. Great staff, nice restaurants, and that bed! (No coffee maker in room, but nice coffee bar in lobby).

The Madison, just out of its recent multi-million-dollar renovation, is all sparkly and full of that new-leather smell.

The upscale restaurant, the Federalist, serves lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch. Even though the Lobby Bar and the Postscript restaurants are more informal, I was surprised at the TVs blaring on each corner, but maybe when it’s more crowded you wouldn’t notice them as much.
