Take all the arrogance in San Francisco and distill it to fit in a hot, stuffy bar and you’ve got The Loading Dock. I don’t know how all these egoists were able to find each other. Did the bar take out an ad that began “Are you too good for all the other bars?” What completely floored me was that the attitude knew no boundaries. Young, old, tall, short, fat, thin, handsome, and homely. Conceit was bountiful. I suppose haughtiness loves company. Perhaps the attitude comes with the uniform fetish. On the plus side, the staff is friendly and pleasant and the drinks are stiff. The space itself...
