It's not uncommon to overhear a group of Chapel Hill students buzzing about the great time they had at the Library. Of course, they aren't describing a late night study session, but a wild outing at one of the University's most popular bars. The Library is the place to go for fabulous music - alternating between live bands and DJs throughout the week. Get your nose out of those books and hit up...

They only allow UNC students and you must have an ID. So don't bring your Duke, NCCU, NCST friends cause they will not be allowed to enter...which is very unfortunate

Know Before You Go

On weekends, you can enjoy live music--which sounds great in this long space full of acoustically-friendly wood. The bands tend to be more diverse than the classic rock played during the week. If you've moved beyond plastic cups, and don't need a bar with an upwardly mobile attitude--this may be worth some study time.
