Help us make it rightIt's not uncommon to overhear a group of Chapel Hill students buzzing about the great time they had at the Library. Of course, they aren't describing a late night study session, but a wild outing at one of the University's most popular bars. The Library is the place to go for fabulous music - alternating between live bands and DJs throughout the week. Get your nose out of those books and hit up...
In Short
You won't find too many freshman in this long, narrow bar full of wooden tables and comfortable stools. Gone are the books, replaced with a university-sized selection of beer and...
A few of us were out for my birthday and decided to go to The Library so I could play beer pong for the first time. ( yes, I know I've been sheltered) It was pretty full at 11pm and had the air...
They only allow UNC students and you must have an ID. So don't bring your Duke, NCCU, NCST friends cause they will not be allowed to enter...which is very unfortunate
It's pretty much my domain...and I freakin' love it wink emoticon
Good vibe and very welcoming atmosphere... a great extension of the campus life.
The Martinis here are top notch!
Great specials everyday of the week with awesome events all the time. Bring yourself, we'll bring the party!

Best Nightlife: Red walls and sparkling hardwood floors outfit this inviting space. From live bands to DJs to game night extravaganza, there's always something happening at the Library. If they're not up dancing, shooting pool or playing videogames, patrons socialize at the bar or retire to the comfy booths. Guinness, Stella Artois, Yuengling, Red Oak, Newcastle and more on tap, plus bottled...
The Library features a variety of entertainment, including live bands and djs. The club is closed on Mondays.
Try to arrive before 11pm on Friday and Saturday nights, or you may face a wait to get inside.
On weekends, you can enjoy live music--which sounds great in this long space full of acoustically-friendly wood. The bands tend to be more diverse than the classic rock played during the week. If you've moved beyond plastic cups, and don't need a bar with an upwardly mobile attitude--this may be worth some study time.
