The quaint Hobbit filled with Lord of the Rings decor was torn down but a new Hobbit arrived in 2008. Quaint gave way to sleek but the menu is back and we are glad. Seasonal favorites are featured alongside fish and beef dishes and the always in demand veal pistachio. The wine list is extensive, and early birds can get a good deal. Food was excellent. . Service was terrible!
This was our second time at this restaurant, we brought visiting family this time. Everyone had an amazing meal. I wish The Hobbit was open year round!
The Fried Green Tomatoes were excellent! Also had the Tuna - Perfect...See u next season!
We always enjoy The Hobbit. However, on this particular night, service was extremely slow. Our waitress was good, but the kitchen must have been backed up because it took too long for our food to come out. Then, when it came, my steak was very dry. It was very busy that night, and fairly noisy in the restaurant. Our prior experiences at The Hobbit were much better.
Went to the Hobbit during restaurant week. Good choices offered, generous drinks, and attentive service. Great food. We will be back if in the area

The Hobbit Restaurant, Lounge and Cafe has been open since 1977. Inspired by the story of the same name, the restaurant serves both lunch and dinner daily. Many traditional dishes are featured as well as some creative dishes. After you meal be sure to visit the gift shop for Hobbit memorabilia.
