The French Loaf

A "must have" place when we go "home" to Houma. I've been a customer of French Loaf for a LONG time. In my opinion, French Loaf makes THE BEST catfish, shrimp, and oyster po-boys in Houma. I have been to Griffins, Spahrs, Bayou Delight, etc. They start with the best French bread from Best Bakery and they don't skimp on their shrimp, etc.

Must try poboys and other yummy seafood dishes. Small dining area but quaint. Large selection of poboys served on a FRENCH LOAF!

This Poboy resturant has been around for a long time. The food here is well prepared but it is a little pricey. It is a shame that the place is for sale as most places change the menu under new management. The decor is quite old. If you are looking for a good HOT sandwich look no further.

Their delicious french bread is baked fresh daily. Enjoy a hearty seafood po-boy on warm, fresh bread. Their roast beef po-boy has been voted #1 and they offer many other homemade items including gumbo. Be certain to try their onion rings.
