The Dresden is world famous for the movie SWINGERS, our house drink - created on behalf of Tyrone Power - the BLOOD AND SAND. We're also known for the entertainment extravaganza of the pop-culture icons MARTY & ELAYNE (also featured in the movie Swingers). The Dresden's dining specialty is an amazing prime rib served in the "old school" tradition. Our patrons and friends show up knowing they...

Editorial reviews from the web (5)

The kitsch is “unparalleled” at this “so-square-it’s-hip” Los Feliz “time warp” best known for its appearance in Swingers as well as the home of the “crown jewel of lounge acts” (Marty and Elayne, who’ve been singing here “longer than most of the clientele has been alive”); devotees of the “off-the-charts cheese factor” say come with “a sense of humor” and avoid the weekends, which can be...

The Dresden Restaurant Review

Carl and Sara Ferraro opened The Dresden back in 1954. In 1981, in what turned out to be a propitious pairing, they hired lounge singers Marty and Elayne Roberts. With the rise of California cuisine and its inventive chefs, continental fare fell out of favor, and restaurants like The Dresden seemed to retain only the most devoted customers. In 1996, thanks to the premiere of “Swingers,” a crop...

Yet another stop on the now classic Swingers tour of Hollywood and environs. Gorgeous supper club of white leather booths and ornate revelry. Admire Marty's 'hair' in this worn cocktail lounge that puts us back in 1975. Elayne is kinda hot for a senior, especially with the way she works that echo chamber. Older, but staying alive and rocking harder than Slayer in our book. Which book, you...

Perennial Los Feliz lounge keeps retro-kitschy glam alive.

Built in 1964, this Los Feliz institution was going strong long before it was immortalized in ""Swingers"" and gave Vince Vaughn a career. The grand dining room is a kitschy wonder of high...

This place never gets old. So so so much fun! And I can't believe Marty and Elaine are still there and performing just fine! They must be in their 80s. Truly unbelievable! They are simply amazing.

The experience and food were phenomenal. I had the New York Pepper Steak and it was cooked to perfection. My Dad had the eggplant Parmesan and it tasted like it was homemade and cooked by Grandma. I would definitely go back and recommend for you to try it if you have never been.

Great experience at one of the places I have heard about for decades. The atmosphere, the food and best of all the service were all top notch and absolutely lived up the landmark status. We were there as part of a "dine and ride" for a show at The Greek....what a way to start a Magical date night. Oh, be warned...if you order the prime rib, it is huge.

Come! Enjoy the unforgettable night at the Dresden. Yes, it's been Swingers, That Thing You Do with Tom Hanks and a host of others that the Dresden lays claim to as a location. And rightly so, considering that the stars just keep on coming. As one enters from the parking lot, as one generally does when entering a classic Continental restaurant, witness a screen with Mandarin patterns. Inside is...

Live Music: The Dresden Room boasts a casually elegant environment, great live music, and exceptional Manhattans. The dynamic duo of Marty and Elayne, accomplished jazz singers with a large repertoire, provide the lion's share of the live music. The menu features Continental cuisine with favorites such as escargot drenched in garlic butter and rack of lamb done to perfection. Vintage décor adds...

The Dresden Room Restaurant is legendary for its live vocal entertainment and jazz enjoyed best over steak and martinis. Located on the Vermont strip in Los Feliz Village, house drink specialties include "Blood on the Sand," and a "French 45."
