The Church Key is a take on Modern American Cuisine that incorporates carts and a dim sum style of cuisine along with an extensive seasonal shared plate dining experience. We specialize in "funked" up cocktails, and an array of specialty cocktail carts.
Chef Ryan Ososky at The Church Key pushes the boundaries of modern American cuisine --- a very good thing, as it's how and why gastronomy evolves. We feel that this place is more than a restaurant; rather, it’s a dining concept in itself. The "wahoo" effect starts as you enter the large, airy and vibrant space. Décor is eclectic, with some industrial hints due to the height of the ceiling, its...
"Get your nibble on" at this "trendy", "quirky" New American situated in WeHo's Sunset Plaza where an "ultra-modern" menu is supplemented by "delicious little bites" dispensed from circulating dim sum-style carts by a "cool" crew; the "expansive", "original" setting has a "comfortable" but "lively" vibe fueled by "creative" cocktails and "boozy" "adult" ice pops, leading most to agree it's...
In the midst of stylish Sunset Plaza, this upscale New American offers heavy-duty mixology and eclectic fare, some of which can be ordered from a regular menu, while bites like pig-ear 'Cheetos' are served from rolling carts. The open space looks romantic and industrial at the same time, with painted brick, log-end walls and blazing candles.
Loved all the little plates. We loved trying all the different kinds of food
The Church Key joins a ever lengthening list of overpriced restaurants in America (Los Angeles for sure!) that qualify as "fancy bar food" masquerading as fine dining (surely the markup creeps well above 400%). With a modicum of creativity, you're better off making a nice cocktail at home and cooking your own lovely dinner. Don't go here.
Love the Church Key. We visit whenever we come to LA. Food is great, atmosphere is exciting and good people watching too.
This was my 5th visit in the past 2 years and The Church Key continues to be fabulous and fun! The food is delish. The ambiance/decor/fun dim sum concept are unique. My only complaint is that the Pork Belly dish is less pork belly and more other stuff. The pork belly was still OUTSTANDING but I'd rather have more/most pork belly vs. any other ingredient. Long live The Church Key!
Great atmosphere, friendly service, full bar, valet parking, a must is to try their doughnuts, large restaurant good for groups
