Advance Chimney Sweep from Holland was going to charge us $2000 for a liner because our chimney was "glazed". Several chimney cleaners from around Michigan, including Ed Suckow, told me that I don't need a new liner if the tiles weren't cracked.
Advance Chimney Sweep charged us $90 for glancing in the chimney,then handed us a brochure and left.
The Chimney Sweep came out, charged us $150 and did a fantastic job. They cleaned up after themselves. They were courteous (unlike Advance).
Thank you Ed Suckow for saving us $2000. I will highly recommend you to anyone else needing their chimney cleaned.
