The complex blend of flavors is decidedly Thai and delicious. I love the perfect blend of sweet (palm sugar!), spicy (chili), and umami (fish sauce) together with the textural differences between the crunchy peanuts, raw onions, and leaf wrapping. Although it's not quite as good as the real ones made with the authentic wild pepper leaf, it's still a pretty tasty snack.

This little hole in the wall is such a hidden gem! They have the yummiest pho ever, along with delicious Thai dishes. The beef in the pho is always perfect and tender, never fatty. Growing up, I used to spend a week in Bangkok about every four years, and then more often when my folks lived in Burma in the 90s. I have also eaten Thai in all kinds of funny places, like Sri Lanka. Most Thai in the US is crap. Sweet, mild, not pungent at all. Boring. Not Thai North.
