This volunteers that operate this museum are really working hard to renovate and update this attraction. Even without outside monetary support, they have restored the depot and several of the train cars. And there are multiple displays. In addition to the short train ride and pullman cars to tour, there are extensive outdoor and indoor miniature train landscapes set up....

First of, this place is run totally by volunteers. Most of these guys are retired and are model train hobbyists and some were actually train engineers. They have always been nice to us and my sons (both under five) love going. We even bought a season pass one year and went every Sunday. This is not a fancy place, but...

We took our young grandsons to "see trains", and although they had fun making the visit worthwhile, we found the place needing a big update and especially an overall improvement in quality of presentation. Based on advertising and the web site we expected much more from this place for the price ($8 adults and $5 children), and found many things...

We took our children, to get the kids out of the house. The place looked like it had been nice at one time, but neglected for way to long. It was old and run down. The kids did enjoy the train ride, though short. The place is run by volunteers and sorely needs a large monitory donation with some paid...

I expected so much more from this place.... we paid 8 bucks a person to get in and nothing worked! It was a self guided tour. They had an old passenger train that you could walk on, which was pretty cool. There was a minature train set up outside that wasn't running and didn't look like it had been for...

The Transportation Museum features antique horse-drawn and gas-powered vehicles, three model railroads and other railroad memorabilia. Garden railroad rides run the last Sunday of the month and group tours are available.
