Oh my goodness! I like salads, eat them occasionally before a steak. I will be back soon to have another salad. The king ranch chicken was really good too, but didn't compare to that canteen salad.

Something Else!. Canteen is something else. If you have ever been to Go Go Gumbo, you already know what I am talking about. Canteen is the daylight version of Go Go Gumbo, which is open in the evenings and is located next door. GOOD GUMBO!. Wanting to eat at GoGo Gumbo, and finding them only open for dinner, I discovered online that Canteen was owned by the same people. I took a chance, and YES! they had gumbo! It was so delicious I bought another to take home. I just now devoured that bowl for breakfast. The other food looked good, but I never went any further down the menu than chicken and sausage gumbo.

For convenience, I go to IGA. They have the best selection and variety in Boyd. Usually a little pricy but at least you don't have to drive 15 minutes to get what you need.
