Warm and Romantic

Tavola is a wonderfully warm and romantic Italian Restaurant in the Cloisters. Food is excellent, but ask the waiter what has garlic!! Our waiter ( I think his name was Ben) was extraordinary!! We had a wonderful time and great food.

This is a very attractive and relatively casual restaurant at The Cloister. As generally true throughout the resort, the service was very friendly and the server was knowledgeable. As also appears to be generally true, the food is not quite up to snuff. One dish, that was extremely tasty, was the pulled pork tacos. I recommend that you order it...

Good dining experience

This is not fine Italian dining, but it is better then you would expect to find in a typical resort. The minestrone soup was very good. The buffala mozzarella in the caprese salad was extremely dense but otherwise it was a tasty salad. The wild boar pasta was pretty good but over salted. The duck was edible but somewhat overcooked....

The Cloisters has a number of excellent restaurant venues ranging from the casual ( the River bar, a bistro) to an Italian taverna (Tavola, an exceptionally fine but casual Italian restaurant) to Southern Tides ( very casual seafood, shellfish and fish located at the Beach Club,) Colt and Allison, the traditional steakhouse with the best beef...to the most spectacular room...
