Excellent food, atmosphere and service. Authentic food, creative menu, quality at reasonable prices. Definitely try the specials.
There aren't many Portuguese restaurants in this area, so Tavira's menu was a nice change. The whole grilled Durado was excellent, as were the lamb chops and garlic spinach. Relative disappointments were the salad (too much oil) and the carroys (too salty.) The service was pleasant but a little slow.
We are regulars of Tavira and often take friends/visitors there for good food. Once again we and our friends were very happy with our meals. We enjoyed fish and seafood superbly prepared mediterranean style and Tavira's impeccable service. Their desserts are also wonderful. This time, the "pears in port" were delicious!
