The Tap Trailhouse takes a step back in time to the Colonial period with its menu of “cauldron” clam chowder, chicken and barley stew, and enormous Colonial burger topped with red onion marmalade and pierced with a steak knife. At dinnertime, start with a taste of crispy fried smelts from among the “Vittles” selections, then move on to country rabbit sausage, garlicky steamed mussels or the...

With its casual decor and locally-themed interior, The Tap does little to differentiate itself from its neighboring pubs. As for drink options, most patrons stick to one of the 24 beers are on tap, though there's also a… Read More
Tap into Boston! Faneuil Hall fave for casual nights. Live music, sports on HDTV, two dozen brews on tap. Wings for a quarter during happy hour: jackpot. Sip on a Burnt Out Bitch (vodka, rum, tequila, triple sec, and OJ), try to maintain youthful mien. Newcastle-battered onion rings and Tap Tots stuffed with cheese and bacon cover your fortification.
We waited for 10 minutes, without a server stopping by, and the music over the speakers was super loud. We left without ordering so I didn't review the food.
We had a good brunch at the Tap Trailhouse made great by the service today. They're known for their craft-your-own bloody Marys and unfortunately had run out after a rowdy NYE crowd the night before. However, Franklin the host, was absolutely awesome and made the visit great for us as he had good music playing and even went to offer each of us a New Year's mimosa! The cocktails were great, we had their seasonal cocktails (can't remember the names). For food, the pretzel sticks were good (as...
Tasty food but not a lot of "lighter" options (no salads). We had the lobster/crab stuffiies, split an order to tasty fish and chips and the venison meatloaf that was delicious. Nice waiter and fun night out.

The Tap Trailhouse pairs craft cocktails with the traditional food of New England. It has trendy interiors with bold red walls and dim golden lighting, and the giant television screens are the focal points in the dining room. It attracts professionals for after-work drinks as well as sports enthusiasts who come to watch the live action on the televisions. The food menu features Boston Baked...

Great friendly downtown location. I often feel like I am home here and among friends.
