Normally, I love the Tamarack Steakhouse. This last visit, not so much. In my reservation request, I had asked for a chilled bottle of champagne to be ready at our table since we were there to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. The champagne was not ready when we were seated and I actually had to get up out of my seat and ask for champagne to be brought to the table.
This was our best experience with the Tamarack Steak House yet, they have recently changed up the menu and we were very happy with our meal and the service was great as usual. Great Steaks and friendly staff.
During our previous experiences here, the quality of food and service was very good. Unfortunately, it has gone down hill to the point we are doubtful to return. We ordered drinks and appetizers and the waiter returned 5 minutes later with drinks and asked if we wanted appetizers? He eventually got it straightened out. Service was excellent! My husband had the filet and I had the lamb chops - both were delicious! They have Caesar salad prepared table side which we did not do this time but will definitely go back to try.
Salad came out while we were still enjoying our soup. After the salad came there was a 20 plus min wait for our meal, no flow. Slow service for water refills and dirty plate removal. Caesar salad was way to big could have served four instead of two. Great room and nice friendly staff service more like a coffee shop not a high end steak house.
