The Lodge is a nice affordable hotel. The room was clean, everything worked as it should & was in good condition. The staff was friendly & present when needed. The location of the hotel is a long ways from the casinos so if you're planning to spend time there, especially on a holiday weekend, plan on a long commute in Tahoe bumper to bumper traffic. Family of 4 enjoyed each minute !
We came from Berlin Germany for a hiking trip. Had a stop for 2 night at Tahoe Valley Lodge and were really pleased !
Clean and beautiful rooms, Lovely staff with a warm welcome atmosphere. We Highly recommend for individuals, couples and families.

Beg bugs, smelly room, not clean

Horrible place. Bed bugs and insects. Room not clean. Even garbage bag was not replaced, it had earlier people's garbage in. Very strong smell of wet carpet. Tiny room. Everything very old. Shower stall is very small and not adjustable shower head, and water runs up on the wall. Bad place, will ruin your vacation.

Tahoe Valley Lodge is a great choice for your ski vacation in South Lake Tahoe. The spa tub makes for a relaxing end to a day on the slopes, and freebies like WiFi and self parking are great perks. Nice touches like fireplaces and pillowtop beds with Egyptian cotton sheets are offered up in all rooms.
