Cute store. Great setting. Awesome product- beer, wine, cheese. That said... Extremely rude / miserable owner. Recognizing we all have bad days, maybe she just missed a dose?

A real country store on the road to Woodstock

There are lots of "country stores" in Vermont that are little more than tourist trinket outlets. Taftsville Country Store is not a trap -- it's the real deal, in operation since 1850 or so, with authentic local goods (cheese, syrup, smoked meats, chocolates, etc.) plus an incredible meat/fish/wine selection ... and it's so reasonably priced! It's also a local community...

I love this little store! I agree they have a great cheese and wine selection. Super duper nice- they recognized us the second time we came in (as did Millie the dog). They also gave us some good...
