Take an adventure to Tabu Grill. Tabu has a "hip " vibe, called by some as an upscale "Tiki Hut." You won't want to miss the grilled Mexican diver scallops, served with Potato Puree, Tangerine Beurre Blanc, and citrus baby greens. One of the local favorites is the yellow fin poke, with mango, celery, avocado, and mint, served with soy ginger taro root. If it's steak your appetite is longing...

A "Laguna favorite", this "dark", "sophisticated" spot on the PCH serves "exotic", "beautifully presented" surf 'n' turf fare prepared with Pacific Rim influences that comes via a "top-notch" staff in an upscale tiki setting; a few find it a little "overpriced, but satisfying" nonetheless.

Most Laguna denizens like to keep their secrets about the best cliff-side coves and the top spots in hip neighborhood dining. Tabu Grill is just one of those dining jewels in Laguna's rough surf. With its sleek slate-and-hardwood and chic… Read More

Tabu Grill Restaurant Review

Much like the hidden coves that lay tucked amongst the rocky Laguna Beach cliffs, Tabu Grill’s cozy space is practically hidden in plain sight. However, its reputation among local residents and visitors alike has long shone the spotlight on the sleek venue, and deservedly so. Under the tutelage of managing partner Nancy Wilhelm, the restaurant creates a mood of sophistication on a level that...

Generally speaking the food is fabulous here. Unfortunately we hit an off night and several of the dishes did not live up to expectations. I would still recommend it but will be on the lookout if this were to occur again.

Wife and I had the grilled scollops to start. That was really good. My filet was cooked correctly, not anything special on flavor. The sauce that came with it was good. I had the Brussels sprouts for a side dish, they were tasty. My wife had the duck with Mac and cheese. Both were good dishes. I highly recommend Mac and cheese side. The waitress was just okay. She took a long time to get around...
