My third son’s poor handwriting was an issue at school for a number of years. Finally, we decided to seek outside help and we were extremely fortunate to contact the Factoria Sylvan Learning Center. I was impressed how quickly and thoroughly they assessed his needs. Over period of six months, they used a curriculum, “Handwriting without Tears” to dramatically improve his handwriting. The staff was thorough, professional, and the center creates positive and caring environment. They far exceeded my expectations!

Last year, my then 4 year old wanted to start learning how to read. Her attention span with her and my husband were very limited when we sat down and tried to do workbooks with her. We knew we had to look into other options. We liked the personalized tutoring approach at Sylvan and didn't want to just stick her in a room and do workbooks like other learning centers.

I have brought my two daughters to Sylvan in Bellevue for about 5 months now and the progress has been wonderful. Sylvan has tailored a program to their needs and both have shown improvement in their reading, one jumping more than a grade level.
