Editorial review from Citysearch

Finally, a summer camp program that actually lives up to the hype!

We could not be more pleased that we selected this stable for our daughters to attend camp this summer. The staff is adult and attentive. The younger counselors are knowledgeable and so helpful with the little ones. Everyone had a wonderful time.

The little show on the last day was well executed and every camper received a ribbon and an award along with a little speech about each one of them.

We will be back again next year and the year after that and the year after that! Plus we are looking into getting the girls into...

Editorial review from Citysearch

I've been to Switch Willow summer camp 2 years in a row. As an older beginner, I was 12 my first year, it was awkward because I was 3 years older than riders in my group who were far better. The fact that some of the Junior counselors were about my age didn't help, either. I decided to just have fun and go with the flow, and had a great time. If your child is a beginner over the age of 11, I wouldn't recommend if they tend to competitive. As for the actual activities: We rode for about an hour, played outdoor games in the mornings for about 30 minutes, had coloring book type arts and...

Horrible people, lame camp

I brought my daughter here for a camp. She was treated terribly by the regular clients (mostly young girls that were very cliquish, who made nasty comments that were meant to be overheard), and complaints to staff were ignored. Some of the other Mom's felt the same way.

Adding to the disappointment was the rain, keeping us off the horses for 3 of the 5 days. Next time, I will find a camp with an indoor arena

Bad Barn

I used to ride at Switch Willo in the lesson program, and after many cons about the barn have moved. All 50+ lesson horses are crammed into a muddy, disgusting pasture, with no grass and minimal care. I often would find my assigned horse reeking of thrush (hoof bacteria from standing in filth) and many horses were very thin. The arenas are horrible, I have had my knees crushed many times from the stupid trees that litter the rather small arenas. The footing is horrible, I never once saw them dragged (evened out by a tractor) and the many deep spots caused horses to trip, and unsurprisingly...
