Sushi Naniwa

Regulars have "no complaints" about this Japanese "go-to" in River North, with moderately priced, "fresh sushi rolls done well", "attentive" service and all-around "neighborhood-joint" appeal; though it has "zero atmosphere" compared to Bob San (its more upscale sib), the patio gives it a boost in the summer.

The most classic sushi bar with cozy and homy atmosphere in river north. Price is reasonable and cheaper than sushi places around that area. I love cooked food from their kitchen and their sushi sashimi is super fresh. Their rolls are not fancy but tasty. Thump up for attentive and friendly service. I absolutely recommend this restaurant.

Sashimi was fresh and the maki-s decent.Not sure why they do not have the 1.5 or 1.8 litre sake.Only small bottles available.Prices were fair.Can't decide if they are better than friends sushi or the other way around.Need a few more tries to figure it out.

Naniwa is a safe staple. You don't go there for super fancy sushi- you know what you get and it's always well executed. I like how the interior feels like a throwback to the 90's. Always super friendly staff. Not so much a date location as a good,casual spot.

A great quick and convenient place to grab a bite of sushi for a reasonable price in River North.I had a spicy tuna roll and a few pieces of shashimi.I'm a huge fan of tamago and their version didn't disappoint.
