Help us make it rightStopped in here for dinner before a show at the Punchline. Had nigiri and some rolls, and my date had the chicken teriyaki. Both were excellent. It was a bit pricey, but not out of line for North Atlanta/Perimeter area. Atmosphere was nice. For me, the cleanliness of the restaurant makes or breaks a sushi place. This was very clean...
We frequent this place for their sushi lunch special. Usually $10 or $11 for 5 pieces of nigiri, an 8 piece roll and soup & salad. Service is quick and the quality of the food is nice and fresh. Atmosphere is basic, but clean and spacious.
Usually pretty busy at lunch.
I love Sushi Mio. I have been there 100 times and i love the atmosphere, they play only classical music, that is so rare in an american restaurant. The food is excellent for American standard (Japan is best of course), and the staff very warm, personable, fast and kind.
They have good vegetarian options.
Definitively a place to be recommended....

My main contention would be the lack of freshness …

Sushi Chef Yi has worked in Los Angeles for 2 years, where he first learned the art of Japanese food, then moved to Georgia to be employed at 2 other japanese restaurants. He then settled at Sushi Mio, where he has been working as the head sushi chef since the opening of Sushi Mio in the winter of 1999. Now as the owner of Sushi Mio, he has spent quality time to mold the restaurant into his own...
Sushi Mio is an authentic Japanese restaurant that has been here in Sandy Springs for more than a decade. Owned and operated by head chef Yi, Sushi Mio has garnered much praise for the quality of its food and service. The restaurant features charming Japanese decor and has a sushi bar, which makes Sushi Mio great for groups and singles a like.
