With several sushi choices in Andersonville, don't make the mistake of passing up Tanoshi and Chef Mike's special for Sushi Luxe (SL). SL is just okay sushi. Decent quality and all the normal rolls and sashimi. Just not as good as other choices nearby.
Pickup only, but one of the BEST Sushi places in all of Chicago. The sushi is so fresh and flavorful, that you would think you are at a seaside sushi restaraunt. Moderately priced, but the quality is top drawer! Their Maki Rolls are quite popular for a reason.
Its not super cheap but its not bad either for $20/ head dinners. If you’re in a bigger group (especially one loving Sushi) this is a good place to go to… the key being share, sample and explore and remember to have your fun-hat on.
And this place tells us why. It's in andersonville which is great for various types of foods, including coffe shops thai, dessert spots, and sushi. This place looks amazing and for the service and portions you get the prices are not worth it. 4 of us decided to try this spot and we wlaked in with no response form the servers, sat ourselves, grabbed menus form what appeared to be an abandoned table and waited to give our order. After 20-25 minutes of not even receviing water or being greeting we got up and abandoned our table as well.
