Dr. Hoffman has been moving west ever since, attending medical school at St. Louis University, and completing his internship and residency at the Oregon Health & Science University. He is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and has been in practice at St. Vincent's hospital since 1991.

Dr. Hoffman served as President of Women's Healthcare Associates, LLC from 1999 to 2010.
