Catering to a rather liberal University District clientele, this open-air vegetarian eatery is where you can feel good about what you are eating. Breakfasts are delicious, but the lunches are also extremely popular; especially on weekends, when a line stretches out the door. There are two dining areas, an upper and lower, and the space is filled with natural light and fresh air. Being one of...

Healthy fare without pretension at this sunny vegetarian oasis in Roosevelt.

In Short
Vegetarian food is king at this bright cafe, where a steady clientele of aging hippies, vegans and other health-conscious citizens chow on diner food with a good-for-you twist....

Food was very good and portions were generous. Had the tofu and veggies for breakfast- would definitely go back. Tahini sauce was bomb!

Sunlight Cafe was founded in 1976 by a group of friends who shared an interest in natural foods and nutrition. We also shared a desire to create a fun and lively place of community that would offer quality food at an affordable price. It would be a place to frequent, to enjoy food and the company of others, an alternate kitchen. There were few restaurants in Seattle at the time that offered...

This quirky little eatery may not set many high-water marks in the contemporary decor arena — things look to have changed very little since John, Paul, George, and Ringo were kings of the airwaves. Visit Sunlight Café and you`ll get a leisure eatery that concentrates on an American fare an emphasis on vegetarian meals. Expect the average entrée to cost under $8.
