Been taking our dogs here for almost twenty years. In that time we have had routine care as well as surgery and other, ongoing medical issues. Wonderful staff all around who care about the animals and freely answer questions and give thorough and thoughtful answers to all of our questions.

They are terrible. On Monday, Dr. Kirsten Dorney killed my dog Buddy. I knew they were incompetent and I am so mad at myself for going back there. The same dog she killed, she misdiagnosed his eye several times, claiming he had an allergy from a spider bite. Finally, she had an "aha" moment and suggested we go to an ey...e specialist. We are a full-service veterinary facility located at 16 Morris Turnpike, on the border of Summit, Short Hills, Springfield and Millburn in a suburban, commercial business district. The building is highly visible from the street and free, on-site parking is available. For your convenience, the hospital is located immediately near routes 24 and 78 as well as the Garden State Parkway. Summit Dog & Cat Hospital is an exclusively small animal practice, seeing mostly dogs and cats. Gerbils, hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits and ferrets are also treated on occasion. Outside of our routine medical services, our hospital offers radiology, ultrasonography and a board certified surgeon upon appointment. We also offer grooming and boarding services.
