We ate at the Stone House with a friend we were staying with in Reno. We didn't want to sit near the entrance where we were first offered a table, but managed to get a quieter booth near the back of the restaurant. While visiting our niece who attends UNR, the stone house cafe was highly recommended. What a neat place. We dined outside amongst luscious gardens with lots of plants and flowers making it feel like we were not at a restaurant. Had breakfast here this past weekend. It was GREAT! The food and the service were behond my expections. I do suggest that you make resverations on the weekend. We were glad we did. I can't wait to try lunch and dinner. I will add to the review once we do.
We went on a Monday night half hour before closing. We were seated right away. The bartender pitch in to suggest a great wine. We didn't get any of the specials which I suspect would have been really good but chose the sand dabs to share. They were fine. The French onion soup was really good and the garlic (?)...
This was the best restaurant we went to. The Bennedicts were to die for. Try the lobster. Pet friendly on the patio. And very nice atmosphere.
