This winery seemed very sophisticated. The wine tasting was a great experience. You can choose which wines you wish to taste and the gentleman conducting the tasting was very engaging. They have a small gift shop and looks like they have the space and services to hold large events like weddings.

Enjoyable visit, much history, nice views.
The wines are award winning. The place offers a good restaurant offering authentic German foods and others. And there is event space available.

We enjoyed Stone Hill and loved our experience during our wine tasting. Erin was very knowledgeable and is studying to be a Sommelier, and we could tell she really enjoys her job and telling people all about the wine (and the winery!). Beautiful winery, great view overlooking the town of Hermann.

Fun Visit with Tour

Stone Hill is always our first stop on the Wine Trail. The tour continues to be fun and the guides are always fun and knowledgeable. The tastings are good however their wine isn't our favorite Hermann wine we greatly enjoy their store and the fun things they have. Stone Hill is historic and you don't want to miss it.

Believe it or not, Stone Hill was the nation's second-largest winery prior to Prohibition. Stone Hill certainly has the most impressive history of any winery in Missouri. If you head here, you should defintely take the tour - it's well worth it. As for the wines, you'll find a huge selection here... no matter what you're looking for.
