Along a desolate stretch of Pico Boulevard, Steingarten LA is a hybrid gastropub, beer garden and small plates den for the neighborhood. Earth-toned walls and communal tables make for a homey atmosphere. A small fireplace by the bar is a…

My girlfriend and I went here for a nice quiet dinner, they say is out side in there beautifully decorated patio area and the server was very friendly. The owner sat us himself truly salt of the earth people and we enjoyed our experience thoroughly.

Took my son, an avid beer fan, here for his birthday after finding about the place on Ratebeer.com. Turned out to be a wonderful evening - fantastic beer list, food was great, and the atmosphere was very comfortable. Our server messed up one of the burger orders, but that was probably our fault. Drinks, dinner, dessert and tip was about $40 a person.

Food was poor and took forever, service was equally lackluster. They didn't even have German Steins....

Just one more place to catch quality beers on the west side thanks to Steingarten LA, open for lunch and dinner. A German-inspired restaurant and bar which touts one of the largest beer selections in Los Angeles, in addition to cocktails and exotic sausages made from salmon, boar, and alligator. Don't miss the patio out back, surely a hot ticket come this summer!
