My experience with Dr. Hergan has been great. He takes his time, listens to his patients, and puts you totally at ease. It's very obvious he loves what he does and is quite skilled at it. He replaced my left hip due to osteoarthritis, and every step since has been a positive. He is a great doc and a fine man!

I broke my wrist & went to Middlesex Hosp ER on 3/4. Hergan was the "attending" ortho. After 3 hours PA said the dr. wasn't coming & I should call his office in the am for an appt. After 4 calls, at 2:30 I was told that he was a very busy surgeon & in surgery so I should be patient. I asked for another Dr - this isn't their "policy" since he was my "attending" the night b4. Dr. Tillinghast has a gentle nature, and is great with my 3 shy girls. He asks plenty of questions and takes his time to answer all my questions. He has been great for 11 years that we have been going to him.

If I could leave ZERO stars that would be appropriate. Condescending & arrogant. All he was concerned with was making big money with a knife instead of taking the time to do a biopsy and imaging to determine how big or small of a problem there was before the proedure. He also pushed the anesthesia aspect when similar procedures are done with a local in an office. He uses the scare tactic,...
