Starrs founded in 1979, is located at 1135 South Big Bend in Richmond Heights. Originally, Starrs was a gourmet coffee roaster, but within a year of opening its doors expanded into the retail wine business. In 1991, Starrs moved from Clayton to its current location in Richmond Heights and branched out with a private dining room for special events and a gourmet take-out section.

I am SO surprised at how GOOD this restaurant is.,,,the BBQ is amazing. The sauces are great (you get to pick from several!). Their Vietnamese Pulled Park sandwich is TO DIE FOR. All of the sides are awesome. Highly, highly recommend..This place should be packed.
Excellent BBQ and interesting dishes like Vietnamese pulled pork and the crispy chicken make this place awesome! (Seriously, try the crispy chicken)

This store used to be a general grocery, but now specializes in wine, beer and cheese. It also has a bakery and a good supply of coffee-making accessories. It is the self-proclaimed oldest wine shop in St. Louis. It's on Big Bend just south of Highway 40.
