Help us make it rightVery professional company that services hot water tanks in the Vancouver/Portland area. We’ve been using their services for years and are very satisfied with their work. They have very competitive prices and are very fast & friendly. We recommend them highly.
I woke up to a cold shower. Tried lighting the pilot to no avail. Called Stan the Hot Water Man who promised to dispatch a technician. When I hadn't heard from the technician (who schedules his own appointments), I called back into Stan the Hot Water Man. The scheduler promised to expedite as I was waiting and needed to get to work. I got a call from Mike, the owner who drove across the 205 bridge to my home in Vancouver, lighted the pilot, diagnosed the potential problem and didn't charge me a dime. In addition, he wrote his personal cell phone number of the sticker on my hot water heater and told me to call him day or night if I experienced any additional problems. This is the kind of customer service that only comes along once in a blue moon. I can highly recommend Stan the Hot Water Man and I thank-you Mike for your service, above and beyond the call of duty.
Thank you Michael for your prompt and friendly service! It's such a delight to find a company who not only does the job well, but is on time, works clean and goes above for their clients. I would recommend you to any Assisted Living Facility for hot water service!
After I had a new furnace put in, i was having problems with the pilot light going out on the water heater. The furnace guys were unable to identify the problem and believed I would need a new water heater as well. I called Stan the Hot Water Man based on a recommendation, and I have to admit it was the best recommendation I've ever had. They came out the next day (I called late in the afternoon) and within about 5 minutes the technician had identified the problem and advised me to "not let anyone sell me a new water heater, that my current one is good for another 5-10 years." What a refreshing change of pace!! He identified the problem being that the new furnace was taking in more of the air in the garage (producing a negative air pressure situation) and that was causing the water heater to be unable to properly vent itself. He advised that I needed the furnace people to come out and create a small vent in the garage to allow air circulation. The furnace guys were skeptical, but after they put a small vent in the garage, the water heater has worked perfectly! By paying for the diagnosis, i ultimately saved $700 by not having to buy a new water heater (which would likely have had the same venting problem).Big Thanks to Stan the Hot Water Man!!
