A friend recommended coming here for breakfast and she said it can be very crowded and it was when we arrived. I can see why. Good ample size portions and the prices were very reasonable, as well. Our waitress was excellent and did a good job of checking in on us.

When I first approached The Stack--the line was out the door. I always think that is a good thing since the food must be worth it, however, nobody really likes waiting in line. We were greeted promptly and couldn't have waited more than five minutes for a table.
The Stack serves breakfast all day and that's what we went there...

Pancakes with a view; tables look out on the Passaic River. Wooden beams, country decor, real syrup. Buttermilk pancakes fluffy and fat without being leaden. Best buttermilk pancakes in the state, according to one reader.
