What the community has to say about St John's Riverkeeper

Information about this business (1)

The St. Johns River is so unique. It is a brackish river with a mixture of salt and freshwater, giving us diverse wildlife. ...It is the longest river in Florida, and flows south to north, meeting the Atlantic Ocean at Mayport, Fl. The river has an iced tea color given by the tannic acid that is released from tree bark and leaves. Want to learn more? www.stjohnsriverkeeper.org or come on a boat...

I dont know her but the additional fresh water that she's wanting from the Oklawaha River is already readily available at whatever the flow rate is that Silver Springs produces. Witch has been reduced by the "water company" that is pumping a million gallons a day out of aquifer that is supplying Silver Springs. So with that in mind if she needs any more water she may have to bust down the Moss...

It's a shame to see the pandering to political machines taking over. It's not about deals to be brokered or meddling in others backyards but in doing the right thing to maintain a healthy river.

Everything positive you have ever done for the ST John's is now going to be blemished by this deal with the devil regarding the Rodman Dam and the river dredging. It's really unfortunate an organization I held in very high esteem has disappointed so many with these actions.
