While this is a neighborhood bar, with all that may entail, I have been here on Thursday evenings for the music, and found some of the best members of Milwaukee's music scene either performing, in attendance, and then joining in the jam sessions, or just enjoying the show.

This place was dirty and dingy and the bartenders are awful! Not only are they unsightly, but I agree, extremely annoying.
