Adnan Alghizi does some of the worst looking stucco work I've ever seen. We had some damage to our garage corner and called up his company because the other bid was more than we were willing to spend. Adnan's work is very amateurish. The patch he did pops out and sticks out like a sore thumb. A large perimeter crack developed around the entire patch because he didn't tie the wire in. He doesn't even mask the area so he got stucco on our driveway and left a mess. I recommend to never hire him or his company.
From my experience Adnan ("Eddie") Al-Ghizzi is not a man of his word and he will try to cheat you.
I am a general contractor in the Treasure Valley and took a recommendation from a person to use this company because they wanted to use them on their home I was bidding.
I tried them on one project I had been bidding and they provided good pricing and told me there was a lifetime warranty. When it came time for them to do the work after I accepted their bid, we went through the scope of work to review what was needed and he (Adnan) claimed he did not bid some of the details we were looking at and would need more money. I provided the change order to the owner and they accepted but I did not feel that it was ethical to create a higher amount after the original bid since he had all the information to bid presented to him earlier. They performed the work and were very sloppy and the walls were not straight giving a waved appearance as well as the detail molding was not straight giving a bent appearance to the walls. He completed the work and did come back to try to straighten surfaces the best he could (still not straight as the original surface). He did send someone out as well, to clean all the mortar from the beds and concrete edging. I still had to remove a garbage can full of debris from the lawn and bark mulch in the bed.
Less than a year later during the winter the owner called me for a separate bid on other work and I noticed the seams on all the joints for the patch work were all separating. Now I returned just last week and found that every seam that was supposed to have mesh tape to cover the joints and did not receive any mesh as he promised would be installed. Now I have the entire job that is cracked and crumbling.
In the interim of this results I asked him to bid another remodel addition I was working on and he provided great numbers. I should have thought it too good but moved forward as I wanted to give the clients a great price as well.
When the time came to start the project he told me he did not bid the window and door molding detail and said he would have to charge more. I told him I would buy it ($850.00 more) and provide it. He then pushed me back on the schedule since he had other work. This brought the time frame of his work closer to cold weather and I requested him to make sure he completed the work prior to the cold since I did not want the material compromised. He told me he could. He did not show up on the days he promise, and when he did he only completed small portions. We got into winter weather and he refused to tent the work since he said he would be losing money. But, eventually he did but did not complete the work still. This continued for 4 months to finish an 845sf and 100sf addition on the home. The owner also asked me to give him a price for a pony wall to hide the A/C units and skim coat and patch cracks in other locations of the home. Southwest Stucco (Adnan) gave me a price of $2500. When I presented it to the owner he was shocked that it was almost the same price as the additions for simple patching. He and I discussed and I told him I felt that Adnan was trying to make up for losses in his original bid. The owner decided to go to him separately when I told him what my cost was and Adnan rebid it to him for $1000. This not only took the scope of work from me but the money associated with my project management of the job. At the time they said they were complete, I reviewed the work and found uneven and bent metal for the corners, seams in the stucco from existin to new, mesh showing through on the window trim details and uneven trim where they tried to splice up to 4 pieces of foam in one line create waves and uneven surfaces.
I met his employees onsite one afternoon that he sent over to see what needed fixed and they expressed that they were instructed to smash the corners since they bottom metal edge was set incorrectly and also to not coat the foam with as much material to save costs.
Now I have asked him to provide warranty work for the clients portion that he paid him directly for as well as the work he contracted through me. He told me first he would need more money, another time he said he would get it done but on his time because he lost money on the job since Misty did not bid the work correctly. I told him that was not my fault as he had all the information on the plans as well as our site visit prior to him providing a price. He made several dates to get the work completed that needed corrections and either didn't show or told me he was busy and didn't want to lose more money on the job. He finally showed up today after 4 rain delays and told me after reviewing the work to be done to correct the issues that he was not going to be told what to do and to find someone else to finish the job. So I am stuck going to have to pay probably twice as much to finish this work as what is owed him but I have learn not to ever trust what he says and that his lifetime warrany means nothing.
