Before going here I have read comments about it. All I can say is that I love the food. After a few years after going in and out here I kind of noticed their improvements. The service is not the slow anymore; but is to be expected because they are serving good barbeques. If you want to have the full experience, then prepare to wait and go when there are not a lot of people.
We went there because of a very favorable review in the Oakland Tribune. Found the place clean, polite service, good flavor & quality smoked meats. Opens at 11:30 a.m. Kind of hard to find the restaurant because it is in the middle of a large strip mall, but we will return next time in the neighborhood!
I've been here about 4 or 5 times, the food was always good, but a little pricey for what you get and the service was extremely slow. If your going to get take out, call it in and go pick it up in 45 minutes. If you are eating in allow plenty of time to eat, it will be a long night.
