Incredibly bland Mexican food... even for Seattle

The UVillage has so many consistently good restaurants- I have no idea why someone would waste their time at Sonrisa. The salsa that comes with the chips tastes bland and artificial. I had chicken and shrimp tacos and while the shrimp was cooked nicely, the tacos had absolutely no flavor. I had been to Sonrisa a couple times before, but mostly for happy hour and taco Tuesdays, a $2 taco night. I went with a friend for a Sunday lunch and it was a great experience. Excellent tacos

We had a late Saturday lunch at Sonrisa, seated in the bar area. The staff was attentive and enthusiastic, and the menu had great selections for that time of the day. We both enjoyed our tacos, and look forward to returning on a weekday evening we can experience more of the menu.
