Innovative, ingenious and totally unique, The Sonora Café is an anomaly to Los Angeles as the original and longest standing restaurant serving Southwestern cuisine. Our full bar consists of award winning margarita’s, 50 tequilas, and has also received the “Award of Excellence” in 2006 & 2007 from Wine Spectator. If you are looking for outdoor dining, fireside cocktails, a private dining room or...
El Cholo got a lot of cousins, esse. Things get ugly at happy hour (4-7pm) when grouchy after-workers vie for seating, oh-so-sweet n' sour margs, and the attention of somebody, anybody to serve them. Dressed up home on the range Southwestern faves like Texas antelope and cowboy steak. They swear that ain't horse. We'd probably eat it even if it was, as long as it was slathered in the yummy...
In Short
Cavernous, but with enough nooks and crannies to generate a sense of intimacy, this Mexican cafe is done up in traditional Santa Fe style. The bustling bar area is crammed with...
incredible food and a warm, comfortable setting. AND it is in it's 20th year in a city so fickled! the bar is a great bar without the pick-up scene
