A "gorgeous" triplex in a onetime carpet warehouse in the Atlas District is a chicly rough-hewn backdrop to a "good selection of small-brewery beers", "delicious" (if "hefty"-priced) cocktails and "inventive" New American plates; an "always-relaxed vibe" and "amazing bartenders" help make it a "highlight of H Street."

I must say that I really enjoyed my experience at Smith Commons. I went with my 8 year old daughter. The wait staff made her feel like a Queen. They worked with her on trying new things on a Waffle. I will continue to attend this Neighborhood Gem with my little one purely because she gets that special treatment. This is now her favorite Brunch spot.
Wide menu. Consistently good. Friendly servers. Nice outdoor space. A good value.
