Plano's Slider & Blues takes family friendly to the next level. It caters to kids. It offers an arcade, a special children's menu and sometimes brings in a magician to entertain the little ones. It caters to the "big kids" too, providing TVs, live entertainment on select evenings and an extensive but not very complicated menu of American fare, including burgers and pizza.
The pizza isn't the best in the world, but this is a great place to bring the kids. It's a mellower Chuck E. Cheese, with a better menu and bar. Don't get me wrong, it's good for adults too, but they probably won't enjoy the game room as much.
Rarely a week goes by that I don't go to Slider and Blues. The food is barely passable but the thing is...this is a neighborhood bar! A neighborhood bar is as rare in north Texas as a basement in a house, so Slider and Blues is a good thing. The beer menu is very good, a lot of TVs for sports, and free peanuts in the shell out of a barrell. They pour real drinks, not a computer bar. A drinkers...
