These bad reviews are HOGWASH!!

I run and own a shop in Hawaii, Performance Auto Repair. I have ordered bone stock reman motors and fully built 383 strokers. Everyone I have ordered has Given me ZERO problems! S&J engines do NOT stand behind their warranty or honor it at all. I will bad talk this company forever now. TWO times the same problem happened with a piston in a 383 motor we purchased from S&J, and they (without pictures or even looking at the motor) laughed and said it was our fault. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE EVER.

I am a sole proprietor installation/repair shop. Am having similar issues as others on this site with warrantee and quality issues. First engine I got from them had knock and low oil pressure. Had to pull it out to find out why. Tore it apart and did a forensic on it. Basically, it did not fit the qualification of Remanufactured. Numerous used surfaces, a number of them specifically not covered...

I would never ever buy an engine from them. I spoke with Dan and it took forever for them to acknowledge that they had sent me a defected engine. After they sent me a new one, they refused to answer or call me back when I requested that a new warranty be sent out for the replaced engine. I can promise you that if I had read the unpaid reviews before hand, I would have never bought an engine from these crooks.
