A backyard oasis in busy Chicago

I have been to SIP a few times already and have always sat outside in the little backyard. There are some tables, some chairs, tree and flowers - and not a lot of noise !
So I come here when I want some quiet time and good.cold drink (have adopted one of their tea+lemon lemonade recipes for home already).

Great coffee and vibe. Top shelf coffee. Cool original setting, including indoor and outdoor. One of the few places left in the country (unless you count New Orleans as America) that actually allows smoking (outside). No annoying password to get on the free wi-fi. Plenty of working electrical outlets. It has the best coffee house bathroom I've seen in ages -- roomy, clean, etc. And it is LOCAL...

when i get a decaffeinated soy latte here in the morning, i genuinely believe the barista making it actually wants it to be a great latte. and it generally is.
