Best restaurant in Manchester (I'm a local) but tiny-only holds about 25 including stools at bar. Onion soup, schnitzel and desserts are out of this world!

The Silver Fork is by far our favorite restaurant. The food, ambience and service is outstanding. The owners, Melody and her husband, Mark (the owners) are absolutely charming!!
We were told by many that it's a must. We were able to get a reservation about 2 weeks before our visit - at the bar for 5:30pm which I thought was very early (as a NYer), The menu was extensive but I felt like it didn't live up to the hype.
Attempting to make a reservation for two the rude reservationist made it abundantly clear that if you were just a party of two you could sit at the bar and not be seated at a table. This was very off-putting. Obviously we made reservations at another restaurant. If you are only two I would not suggest you go here.
