I drove by and Silk City Diner appears to be closed, at least temporarily for remodeling.

I was wondering what is happening here. As we drove by, it looks like the place is either being torn down or it is being renovated. It was one of our better places to enjoy the great food. It looks like the steak house located beneath the diner is still in operation.

we just love stopping by Silk City Diner, it's a great family diner/restaurant. Food is great, huge portions, kid/family friendly, fun place to dine. Price is reasonable & staff is always friendly. Oh & those wonderful breakfasts also. You won't go wrong here. Wish there were more places like this around. Treat yourself sometime & stop by, you won't be sorry.
