We decided to try Sidedoor, a place that is literally entered by a side door. Next to the 5 crowns, we looked for the red key above to find the entrance. Upon entering, the room is hustling and bustling with a feel of an old pub in England. With some high tops, it is mostly furnished with large dark chairs, fit like a room out of Clue.

Dining out with a toddler is never easy. Trying to get them to stay in their highchair for at least an hour while dining in a sit-down restaurant can be a struggle for parents and children. There's "a lot to enjoy" at this Lawry's-owned gastropub in Corona del Mar, where international craft beers and wines by the glass help wash down the "hearty" British small plates, cheeses and charcuterie, including a "luscious" prime rib sandwich; moderately priced bills and a "great English pub atmosphere" also make it a "real find."
