Tried this place for the 1st time before we went to a Broadway in Chicago show. It was packed and hopping at 5:30pm. Wine was good. My friend got a cocktail which was outstanding. We order just some snacks, but they were really good. We will go back again very soon!

I've only been to sidebar a handful of times. It's a place that I have met business professionals, and friends from the office. Classy enough to impress, but not trying to be fancy. Food is good, but it has a smaller menu than it used to. Not too pricey (average entrée is $11) - salads and sandwiches mostly, but nice. Service this past time wasn't great, but usually is just fine.
