I've been frequenting the Showdown since I turned 21, and for the majority of that time Peter Plank has been my bartender and now my friend. I have had a mug hanging for over a decade in this little dive. It's famous for cheap drinks, cold beer and bartenders with a little attitude. What a fun dive bar. I have heard, although have not verified, that this is the oldest bar in Fort Worth.If you are a regular (and I mean have been there like 100 times in a row AKA suffer from a mean???
