I am so grateful we made it to "Blacks During the Civil War" at Shorefront on Saturday, it was a superlative program of speakers and fun as well as enlightening. I'm embarrassed that I didn't know who would be speaking, and I would have made a lot more noise about this program if I'd known. (Pretty much anything about the Civil War will get me and Paul there, he's a former reenacter.)

I visited Shorefront for the first time this week and I was blown away. Dino Robinson and his Board have done a fantastic job of archiving the history of African Americans on the North Shore. Still, they need our support. Consider visiting and/or making a donation to this worthy cause.
