Ships Cafe Restaurant and Crab House

LISTEN TO THE OTHER REVIEWERS. Don't bother.. The bar is fine. The apps, not so much. The dining room stafff ~ ridicuously incompetent! The crabs .....no longer worth their price. So So Disappointed.

There's something to be said about local cuisine like steamed Maryland Blue Crabs. You can import them and use the same ingredients and recipe as they do in Maryland but I realize now it will never be as good. Best shrimp salad since Duffy's or Westview Lounge! The coconut shrimp was also yummy. I did not care for the fried oysters or the cream of crab. The steamed crabs were pricey. The staff was really great.

Not impressed. The cream of crab soup was thick enough to cut, the steamed garden veggies were from a frozen package they'd just heated up in the microwave and on top of it all, I ended up with a piece of plastic wrapping on my plate. Granted, they took my meal off the bill, but I'm still not satisfied with the rest to go back!

Going to Ships on a Friday night was a nice change of pace. Not being at all commercial, it has its ups and downs -- if you like the dim lighting of many restaurants, you shouldn't be stopping by here. (Personally, I was happy to see my food for a change!)
